Ten years of the MSTies Anonymous website
As of the time of this post, the MSTies Anonymous website went live on the World Wide Web 10 years ago on a small two megabyte space on users.aol.com. It moved to a Mindspring account two years later, and finally to msties.com in late June, 1999. Although most of my countless hours spent maintaining this site were in the first 5 years of its existence owing to the series finale of
Mystery Science Theater 3000 on August 8th, 1999 and my having entered college that same month, I'm proud of the strong, established presence this site has in the MST3K webspace and the communities of fans it's been the basis for. Much of my efforts for MSTies Anonymous over the past 5 years have centered around building the local chapter of the club in Fort Collins, CO and helping to put on a live production of MST there in 2003.

So, what's next for MSTies Anonymous? Admittedly, the site is pretty dusty and the newsletter hasn't been sent out in quite some time. The premise behind this site was always that it'd be built as a collaborative tribute to MST3K by its fans. Therefore, I've been considering recruiting your help in converting this site over to a Wiki format in which anyone could submit additions in a moderated environment. If enough content were generated, the SOL Post newsletter could begin anew to transmit a periodic digest on updates to the site. The other major emphasis should be on establishing additional local chapters of the club to facilitate group viewings of the show; our little experiments thus far have proven to be great successes.
Please e-mail me if you'd like to help with either of these objectives!
Finally, I'd like to thank the following people for making all this possible: Noah S., Mike K., Bret S., Mark T., Colin S., Sam T., Dennis MM., Julia MM., and everyone at BBI past and present.
